Tip 6

What happens if you find out there are repairs in the home I am buying?

There is a process called Objections and Resolutions in which based on your contract the buyer has so many days (as stated on your purchase agreement) to ask the seller to make those repairs. The seller then has so many days to reply as to what they are willing to repair. Please keep in mind all houses are sold “as is” and sellers are not required to make any repairs, however those repairs are negotiated during these due diligence period stated in your purchase agreement. Most sellers are reasonable and will take care of major items but do not like to consider minor cosmetic repairs such as painting.
